Ms. Thielmann earned her A.B. degree from Princeton University in 1988 and her J.D. degree from Columbia Law School in 1994 where she was a member of Law Review and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Ms. Thielmann is a member of Whatley Drake & Kallas’s healthcare litigation practice, and represents physicians, medical associations and consumers in complex litigations combating the wrongful practices of health insurers in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Ms. Thielmann’s work with the healthcare team has included participation in numerous federal and state litigations, including two large multi-district litigations in federal courts, work on several groundbreaking settlements with major health insurers, and extensive appellate work on behalf of appellant medical associations and class action representations in various parts of the country. She also represents plaintiffs in other complex class action litigations involving RICO, antitrust, and other claims, including a current major federal multi-district litigation.

Upon graduating from Columbia Law School in 1994, Ms. Thielmann began her career in complex commercial litigation at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. She moved on to Kirkland & Ellis in 1996, where she did both defense and plaintiff work in complex commercial litigation until she departed after becoming a mother in 1999. Ms. Thielmann joined the Milberg Weiss healthcare litigation team on a part-time basis in 2001. In 2005, she departed Milberg Weiss with the rest of the healthcare litigation team to join Whatley Drake & Kallas as a full-time associate.
